Financial Support Facilities
MSABC is pleased to announce new financial support facilities. To learn more about the funds listed below, please contact treasurer@msabc.ca
MSABC Programming provides financial assistance to clubs, teams, and individuals hosting MSABC-related events or activities, including:
- Deficit coverage guarantees for hosts of MSABC stroke clinics or training camps
- Other events and activities for the benefit of the greater MSABC community
Officials Development Fund reimburses individuals for costs incurred to attend an officials clinic and to MSABC clubs to cover the costs associated with hosting an officials clinic.
Coaching Development Fund reimburses MSABC coaches or their home club/team for costs incurred in successfully completing the minimum training requirements for Masters coaches. Advanced training courses may also be considered for reimbursement. Teams should endeavour to build training costs into their fee structure when possible.
MSABC Annual Bursary Fund awards up to four needs-based bursaries annually to MSABC swimmers or coaches to help with the costs of attending a championship-level competition such as Provincials, Nationals, Worlds, etc. The bursaries are available via written application or nomination to the MSABC Board of Directors.
Club Support & Hardship Fund supports clubs facing financial hardship. Access to the grants will be on a one-time basis per club, up to a maximum of $500 per application. Clubs should delineate how they plan to return to financial stability and outline efforts already underway (such as raising fees, applying for local grants, fundraising activities, and building a reserve fund).
